THE WAR EFFORT
We are a deeply collaborative organization and we’re building humane networks of local, national and international partners delivering health-care services, emergency and innovative programs. We work with our partners to ensure local stakeholders’ input helps shape our programs and campaigns.
With our partners and donors, we create thoughtful solutions and long-term changes to people’s most complex health and unemployment problems in Uganda.
From crisis to sustainability, we tackle the underlying causes of hunger, impoverished healthcare services, youth unemployment and there effects. By integrating our programs with local and national systems we further ensure that short-term interventions become long-term solutions.
We provide unparalleled leverage for donors’ philanthropic dollars by using donated funds and supplies and the local infrastructure of our partners.

Partnerships
We value the partnerships we establish with human service agencies and programs to save lives of underprivileged families. Through partnerships with agencies, governments, donors, and individuals, we join together to fight hunger, poor healthcare services and poverty in Uganda.
Self-sufficiency
We believe that responsive food banks, enhanced healthcare services and innovative life skills include programs that help people help themselves.
Diversity
We ensure that food assistance is readily available to diverse populations through programs that reduce barriers to access. We encourage and value diversity among our staff and volunteers.
Service with dignity
We believe that all people deserve access to wholesome, culturally appropriate, nutritious food, delivered with respect and compassion.
Advocacy and education
We actively address the root causes of hunger and poverty through advocacy and education about hunger relief.
Stewardship
We are responsible stewards of community resources, leveraging them to meet the greatest need. We strive to be efficient, productive and prudent with resources entrusted to us.
