How Your Donation
Will Help

KEI and partners are on the ground in the northern parts of Uganda providing therapeutic food, clean water, life-saving relief as well as added capacity to withstand future shocks to the most affected communities. We risk an explosion of deaths, with millions of children and families facing starvation and every donation makes a difference.

  • Your donation helps KEI deliver life-saving food and water, urgent medical treatment and intensive nutrition services for children and families in critical need.

  • Your donation also helps KEI provide vaccines and other health and nutrition items across the country, reaching children and families in remote areas.

  • KEI is working with partners to help build long-term resilience in communities to help them recover and prepare for future disasters. Your donation helps our efforts to ensure resilience for future shocks and water emergencies.

 Goal 1

Action Against Hunger

Many families in Uganda have started to lose the fight against pockets of hunger, poverty and unemployment as the worst long lock-down caused by the Novel Coronavirus, climate change, population growth and regional conflicts are unleashing severe hunger, poverty and displacement on already vulnerable communities. Add the global ripple effects of the increasing food and fuel prices from a devastating conflict in Ukraine, which in itself is unleashing unspeakable horror on many families there, and we have the perfect storm for families here in Uganda.

In a Uganda of nearly 45 million people – about 70% of them are young people and are severely food insecure, poor and unemployed and are trying to survive hunger, impoverished healthcare services and unemployment that are becoming more frequent and intense. It has left families without coping mechanisms - such as agriculture (cattle and crops), innovative educational programs - to deal with cycles of emergencies.

Hardworking mums and dads are struggling just to put food on the table. Malnutrition is becoming so bad that children have actually stopped growing. These children and their families need immediate provision of food and water, as well as long term solutions that address the underlying issues.

The most heart-wrenching thing is that it doesn’t have to be this way. Post covid-19 effects we’re two years in the making and we know from previous pandemics and disasters that when the world comes together, we can avert hunger, poverty and youth unemployment. We can help families and we can save lives

So here is the good news, Kawuma Envisions International is already on the ground to partner with local churches to provide solutions to this crisis. In some of the most remote regions, we’re the only organization providing help. In the remote and the northern regions of Uganda where Kawuma Envisions International works, a massive drought and low food supply have left 50% of all people severely malnourished, and in need of immediate food aid, just to stay alive.

In our strategic plan for the year 2022 – 2027, we have launched a campaign titled “My Happy Box”. Our team is delivering boxes full of nutritious foodstuffs to reach some one million high-risk families throughout the distant and most affected rural areas of the country before it’s too late, as well as added capacity to withstand future shocks.

Since 2015, we’ve been partnering with churches in Uganda, to develop culturally sensitive programs, including church planting, to help pave way for the most sustainable lifestyle to these remote people. But lack of substantial rainfall and innovations over the past two years now threatens the progress we’ve made. In much of northern Uganda, the local church sits at the center of communities; providing leadership, not just in spiritual matters, but in all areas of life. Which means Kawuma Envisions International’s network of local churches across Uganda, is perfectly caused to meet immediate needs, and to provide long term solutions.

Yet despite our self-funding, Kawuma Envisions International is coming short of the funds needed to keep pace with ever-growing needs. If the world waits any longer, it will be too late for too many.

Our first goal is to raise 1.6 million dollars, about 220 dollars per family in the next 90 days. Through our partnership with local churches, these funds will enable us to provide relief to those with immediate life-threatening need. and help bring lasting change to every region we work through our church empowerment zones.

Families in Uganda have one plea for the rest of the world. Please don’t look away. Please help.

The people of Uganda need our help today, they need our partnership tomorrow.

Will you join us?

Goal 2

Making A Difference

Kawuma Envisions International seeks to improve the quality of life in people who otherwise have little hope and opportunity in societies, such as those found in the most remote and rural districts of Uganda. There is a strategic effort to form partnerships in the individual communities by partnering with community church leaders, who in turn provide effective solutions specific to their community's needs to achieve optimal effect. The overall goal is to treat individuals’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs, and to give every person the opportunity to hear about the good news of Jesus.

Goal 3

Protect The Environment

We are losing 7.3 million hectares of forest every year.

Around 5.2 trillion plastic particles are floating in the lakes, rivers and swamps around the country.

Nearly 1 million people die because of poor air quality every year.

About 10 million people have been forced to relocate because of ill-effects of climate change in the past 12 years

Nearly 90% of solid waste in Uganda is disposed of as landfills, resulting in severe land pollution and contamination of groundwater. This in turn leads to health and sanitation-related issues.

According to our independent survey last year, over 70% of the people are well-aware of the ill effects of environmental degradation and climate change. 40% are even ready to adopt sustainable practices to bring a change. Thankfully, we are working with community leaders in the field of environmental protection to make our tomorrow better.
